So I'm in Africa ...

Well, not exactly.
I am in the airport in Toronto, on the way.
Sitting at the bar just waiting for my flight call - usual to myself, far too early.

I am lucky enough to have a 7 hour stop over in the UK, and am anticipating a MUCH NEEDED family reunion with my cousins/aunts for that time.
But it the pleasantries will soon fade upon my 11 hour flight to South Africa ...
And my .. Flight? To Botswana ... I'll be sure to update on that fiasco .. But I could just be panicking over nothing, maybe it will be a 737.
MAY-BE.
Chat times on the NINTH.

What does it really mean, when someone moves to Africa -Botswana for 8 months?

Well:
It means they have some (MOSTLY) sad good-byes.
It means they have some inspirational good-byes.
It means they have A LOT to pack.
It means they have to make a SERIOUS trip to Costco.

Not to mention the dedication and commitment to a development degree. A shout-out to all my INDEV homies out there...
WE ARE A SERIOUSLY TOUGH BUNCH OF STUDENTS.

My thoughts on moving away.
I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE MY FAM/FRIENDS.
My other thoughts on moving away.
HOLY COW I'M GOING TO AFRICA JUST LIKE I ALWAYS WANTED TO.

When you think back to the long nights in front of a statistics assignment, the early mornings turning in a paper right before 9am and all of the other things students have to do for that fancy piece of paper in the end...
This is a pretty amazing way to get it, and totally worth it in every way.

Sadness turns to gratitude,
depression lightens to opportunity.
